We praise you, God our creator, for your handiwork in shaping and sustaining your wondrous creation.  Especially we thank you for
the miracle of life and the wonder of living...
particular blessings coming to us in this day...
    the resources of the earth...

the treasure stored in every human life...
We dare to pray for others, God our Savior, claiming your love in Jesus Christ for the whole world, committing ourselves to care for those around us in his name.  Especially we pray for
those who work for the benefit of others...
    those who cannot work today...
those who teach and those who learn...

    the church in Europe...

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  Amen.

Examen

I'm thankful for you, Lord, and your Word.  Keep my ears open to you.

Am I at an end of a noisy time, a preoccupied time, a time of tending to many voices not yours?

Am I at the beginning of a quiet time, a focused time, a time of clarity of what I love and what I don't?

Thank you for this day, to know you, whate'er befall.
